Quinlan Lee
Manager of Strategic Partnerships and Engagements
Born in Georgia and raised in the mountains of Colorado, Quinlan’s journey has taken her through Washington, DC; New Orleans; Edinburgh, Scotland; and Chicago. However, she’s called Charlotte home for the past 25 years—the longest she’s ever lived in one place. Now, she brings both a breadth of experience and a deep commitment to this community to her role as Manager of Strategic Partnerships and Engagements at Freedom Communities, where she fosters collaborations that genuinely transform lives.
Before pivoting to the nonprofit sector, Quinlan’s career wove through writing children’s books, planning large national conventions, and most recently serving as a pastor overseeing discipleship at a multi-site church. In each role and location, her purpose remained the same: helping people discover God at work in the story of the world and inviting them to join in that good work.
She holds degrees from Tulane University and Gordon-Conwell Seminary. When she’s not forging partnerships or listening to community needs, you’ll often find her with a book in hand or on a walk in the woods, gathering inspiration for the next initiative.
Why Freedom Communities?
“After the Chetty Study was released over a decade ago, I watched to see who in Charlotte was helping families move up the economic ladder. Freedom Communities stood out—meeting families where they are and tackling systemic issues. When the chance came to join, I couldn’t pass up the chance to be part of the solution.”
