I have been in the social services field for the past decade. I didn’t know this was where my passion would be. I went to school to be a meteorologist at Florida State University, and upon graduation in 2012 I was unable to secure a job in the field. In 2015, I got my first full-time job in the social services field housing specifically, and haven’t left since. Growing up in Tampa, FL, I became aware of the community work that needs to be done and have made it a point of mine to remain in the field until there is permanent change. It wasn’t until 2021 that I was introduced to the mental health aspect of social services and realized how important our mental health is. I have plans to obtain my master’s degree and open my own counseling center, opening it up to all people. In my spare time I love reading, watching TV, or exploring a new part of the city.
